IV Therapy
Targeted intravenous nutrient and antioxidant therapy delivered by a naturopathic doctor — for energy, recovery, hydration, and nutrient support.
Book nowNutrients, delivered directly
Intravenous (IV) therapy — sometimes called vitamin IV therapy — delivers vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other actives directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the gut. That allows for higher doses than oral supplements can reach and a faster effect for patients whose absorption is compromised, demands are high, or repletion needs to be rapid.

For specific, considered reasons
IV therapy is a fit for patients who are looking for:
- An energy or recovery boost during high-demand periods (training blocks, illness recovery, travel, perimenopausal fatigue)
- Targeted nutrient repletion when oral supplementation isn't enough or isn't tolerated
- Antioxidant or detoxification support (e.g., glutathione)
- Hydration and electrolyte replenishment after illness, travel, or athletic exertion
- Adjunct support for chronic pain or inflammation (procaine IV)
- Cellular energy and cognitive support (NAD+)
It is not a substitute for diagnosing and treating the underlying cause of fatigue, deficiency, or chronic symptoms — that's part of the work we do alongside the infusion.
Formulated to the goal
Myers' Cocktail
A balanced blend of minerals, B vitamins, and vitamin C. The workhorse infusion for energy, fatigue, immune support, and general nutrient repletion.
High-dose Vitamin C
Antioxidant and immune support; commonly used during illness, post-illness recovery, or alongside other treatments.
Glutathione
A master antioxidant. Used for detoxification support, oxidative stress, and skin and recovery indications.
Procaine IV
A low-dose intravenous infusion drawn from the neural therapy tradition. Used for chronic pain, systemic inflammation, and conditions associated with autonomic dysregulation.
NAD+
A coenzyme central to cellular energy production. Used for cognitive support, athletic performance, and recovery from chronic fatigue or burnout.
Hydration / electrolyte IV
For dehydration, post-travel, post-illness, or athletic recovery. A lower-cost, fast option for first-time IV patients.
"We don't infuse without knowing why we're infusing."
Every IV is preceded by a clinical intake — history, medications, relevant labs. Doses and ingredients are matched to your bloodwork and goals, and we work on the underlying driver, not just the symptom. As an ND with prescriptive authority in BC, I can integrate IV therapy with broader medical management when needed.
The first appointment
Intake and review
Current symptoms, history, medications, recent labs.
Formulation decision
Which IV is the right fit, at what dose, on what cadence.
The infusion itself
Performed in a comfortable infusion chair. Standard formulations take 45–60 minutes; advanced IVs (high-dose Vitamin C, Procaine, NAD+) can take up to two hours.
Post-infusion check-in
Quick assessment, hydration, and clearance to leave. Follow-up depends on the indication — single sessions, short series, or ongoing periodic infusions are all common.
Common questions
Do I need a referral?
No. Booking is direct through Tall Tree.
Do I need bloodwork before my first IV?
For standard nutrient IVs (Myers', glutathione, NAD+, hydration): not usually required. For high-dose Vitamin C, G6PD testing is required. For Procaine IV, electrolyte labs are required. For Iron IV, see the Iron IV page for the lab work and intake required.
How will I feel after?
Most patients feel well immediately afterward and resume their day. Some report an energy lift within 24–48 hours, especially after Myers'. Mild side effects are uncommon and resolve quickly.
How often should I come in?
Depends on the indication. A patient using Myers' for an immune boost during a busy stretch might come twice a month; hydration IVs are often one-off after a hard race or long flight. We'll set a plan at your first visit.
Is it covered by insurance?
Most extended health plans cover naturopathic doctor visits, which includes the infusion cost.
Do you offer IV at both Tall Tree locations?
Yes — at Tall Tree Cordova Bay and Tall Tree James Bay. James Bay runs one day a week.
